ADMISSION POLICIES
ADMISSION TO CHILDREN'S MONTESSORI SCHOOL
A. AGE Children are accepted in the Children's Montessori School when the child turns 3 before September 30th to 9 years old. A limited number of children who are younger than 4 enter the school each year. Elementary Program includes Kindergarten through 3rd Grade.
B. APPLICATION AND DEPOSIT
An application and a $50.00 deposit fee must be on file for admission each school year. This fee is a separate billing and is non refundable.
C. SIBLING In admitting children to the school, brothers and sisters of current students are given first consideration with regards to age as stated above. Sibling discount per request. For information regarding this please contact the administrator for details.
D. WAITING LIST Children's names are placed on the waiting list in the order of application arrival. When a student opening becomes available, this order is observed in relation to class balance.
E. CLASS BALANCE The distribution of children, ages three, four, and five will be considered. An effort will be made to admit as near an equal number of boys and girls to each class.
F. CHILD INTRODUCTION WITH THE MONTESSORI DIRECTRESS Before the first day of school the Directress will notify the parents and a teacher-child introduction will be scheduled. Both parents and the new child will be required to attend this brief meeting.
G. LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE No oral acceptance will be honored or recognized, a formal letter of acceptance will be the official means of notifying parents. Students are admitted on a probation period for the first six weeks of attendance for the benefit of the parents, as well, as the school.
H. NON-DISCRIMINATION The admission policies of the Children's Montessori School will not discriminate against any student or parent of any student on the basis of race, color, creed, or National origin.
I. SPECIAL CHILDREN The few special children accepted will be subject to a continual evaluation of their adjustment. Therefore, their probation period will extend as long as necessary.
J. RELIGION Children's Montessori School is non-denominational. The program will include prayers before a snack, singing songs about Jesus, and reinforcement of Christian Social Principles.
K. CHANGING Changing from full day to half day, there will be a $200.00 fee after July 1st.
